Australia, one the countries in the world with the best healthcare system, is taking all possible steps to protect the health of its citizens and the economy following the novel Coronavirus pandemic.
Its swift and decisive action initiating travel restrictions to countries such as China, Korea, Iran and Italy on the basis of expert medical advice, will help to contain and slow the spread of the virus in Australia.
In response to COVID-19, the country has initiated the availability of certain medical equipment from the National Medical Stockpile to meet the safety and demand of its people. The Government is also investigating further sources of supply of personal protective equipment, both internationally and domestically.
“The efficacy in action and a well planned healthcare system have always been the pulling factor for many, and once again the government is proving itself by taking massive action in addressing this crisis” commented Robert K Chelliah, a veteran registered migration Agent, on one of the reasons Australia tops the chart for re-settlement and migration destination.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison through his statement on Wednesday said the Government was ensuring Australia’s health system was well-prepared and had the resources it needed to fight the Coronavirus and protect the community.
The country has also unveiled a comprehensive $2.4 billion health package to protect all Australians, including vulnerable groups such as the elderly, those with chronic conditions and Indigenous communities from the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
